2017/2018 SEASON – He came to Milan during the summer of 2018. He won the Supercup with 37 points in two games, and he scored 23 in the semi-final game over Brescia.
Born in Nova Varos on June 16, 1991, he began playing in Ascoli Piceno, Italy. During the 2013 NBA draft he was the 30th pick by the Phoenix Suns and was immediately traded to the Golden State Warriors where he stayed for one year. After he left the Warriors, he moved to Spain, playing for Valencia and then Malaga, where he remained for three years and won the 2017 Eurocup.
In 2013 he made the All-Star team of the Lithuanian League. In 2017 he made the top-five of the Spanish League. He played in the 2013 and 2015 European Championships, and won the silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
2017/2018 SEASON – He made his debut in Valencia. During EuroLeague he set a new career best of 30 points, 18 of which were scored during double-overtime. Curtis Jerrells’ 30 points in Valencia is the third highest by an Olimpia player during the EuroLeague. Jerrels closed the EuroLeague with a nine game open streak of scoring at least one 3-pointer. He scored 27 points in game 2 of the Italian play-off finals, a personal-best in the Italian League. He won the 2018 title.
2017/18 SEASON- He arrived in Milan during the summer of 2017 coming from Galatasaray Istanbul. In the Supercup final against Turin he scored 17 points, making five 3-pointers, and was named MVP of the tournament. He made at least one 3-pointer in 14 consecutive games, immediately winning the Supercup and the Italian league.
Micov, who rose up from the junior teams of Beopetrol, Belgrade, has gone on to play in a number of different Serbian leagues. He won the gold at the 2001 European Under-16 Championship with Serbia, and the bronze at the 2005 European Under-20. Moreover, he is a three-time winner of the Montenegro Cup.
2017/18 SEASON – He came to Milan in September of 2017. He won the Supercup by scoring 17 points in the Final, and managed 21 rebounds over two games. In Madrid, he set the team EuroLeague record for the most two-pointers with no misses at 9. Against Panathinaikos he went 8-for-8 from the line: only three Olimpia players have made more free throws in a single game with no misses in EuroLeague history. He hit a personal-best 11 rebounds in Milan against Barcelona. He set an index-rating personal best of 29 against Panathinaikos. He immediately won the Italian Supercup with 18 points and 18 rebounds in two games. He won the 2018 title.
2017/2018 SEASON – He scored the winning basket at the EuroLeague games in Barcelona with 5 seconds remaining. He has achieved a streak of 16 consecutive EuroLeague games scoring at least one 3-pointer. During the playoffs, he was one of the key players of the Italian league winning team where he led the league in 3-point shooting, making 55.3 percent of his attempts. He won the Italian Supercup: scoring 11 points from the field and going 3-for-3 on 3-point attempts in the semi-finals against Trento.
